A LOWCOUNTRY NATIVE RUNNING FOR 9th CIRCUIT SOLICITOR
David Osborne is running to protect our families by putting violent criminals in prison and seeking justice for their victims in Charleston and Berkeley Counties. As our new solicitor, David will make the safety of our families his top priority.
DAVID IS A PROSECUTOR,
NOT A POLITICIAN
He is a skilled professional prosecutor who has successfully tried and convicted numerous violent criminals for the last decade.
Just since 2021, David has successfully tried 23 murder warrants to guilty verdicts as a prosecutor in a neighboring circuit. At the same time, the entire 9th Circuit tried only four murder warrants to guilty verdicts, despite being the largest circuit in the state.
BEFORE BECOMING A PROSECUTOR, DAVID WAS A POLICE OFFICER AND DETECTIVE
David started his career in New Orleans where he patrolled some of the most dangerous streets in America. In 2002, he moved back home to join the Charleston Police Department, quickly moving up the ranks and advancing to the Violent Crimes Unit where he solved numerous high profile murder cases in the city. In the evenings, David attended the Charleston School of Law where he would earn his law degree.
David has dedicated his professional life to demanding justice for crime victims, making our streets safer while also ensuring equality and fairness in the justice system.
FAMILY AND COMMUNITY
David is married and has two children. He lives in Charleston. He is a graduate of Summerville High School, University of South Carolina, and Charleston School of Law. He is seeking the Democratic nomination for 9th Circuit Solicitor.
